Two paragraphs into Obama’s address disbelief engulfed me, having heard earlier in the night that Obama would introduce new programs (investments) to stimulate the economy and create jobs (A fallacy in itself because government is unable to do either. It can only provide the conditions under which the Free Market System can flourish to grow and establish business ventures with resulting job creation.).
To top it off Obama said, “Nothing I’m proposing tonight should increase our deficit by a single dime.”
When does a misstatement knowingly pronounced become a lie? Might it be true that the culture of lying has become so entrenched in American political culture that any deviation is swiftly punished? For example, people who question any part of the theory of man-caused global warming are branded “deniers.” End of discussion!
The question should be asked when does Socialism become Communism? When one sees the corruption, fraud and outright violation of the US Constitution without any consequences, are we still living under a Republic? When we spend over $7 Trillion annually in the Public Sector (Federal, state and local) nearly 50% of GDP and are running trillions in deficits some we count at the Treasury and others we do not count at the Fed, is it not time to stop this outright insanity? When the bloated Public Sector operations are causing the taxation, fees and license costs to continually escalate even in a recession, is it not time for major restructuring and reform of these bloated Public Sector operations that are destroying the nation? When one sees these criminals in the Public Sector rape and rob the taxpayers for their own enrichment and that of their friends then this is no longer a functioning Democracy. When we cannot utter the true figure of our debt or Debt to GDP ratio then we are no longer in a position to address the cancer that is destroying our nation. And it is not only the Federal operations that are total out of control for the state and local operations have the same operational issues just look out your window and you can see the problem in any Public Sector operation parking lot or balance sheet. It is time to institute petitions for ballot referendums that return control over the taxation and Public Sector Labor Agreements to the taxpayers for it is obvious that the Political class and the Public Sector as whole cannot be trusted to act in the interests of the taxpayers. For as we see the elected officials will not even enforce the laws they were sworn to uphold.
