Sosnowski, Syverson, LaHood and Demmer Respond to Governor’s Address

Reboot_Illinois_State_of_the_State_-Debt-CrisisState Representative Joe Sosnowski (R-Belvidere):   “We needed the Governor to paint an honest picture of the current fiscal conditions of our state and to give his plan to get Illinois’ budget deficit under control. Unfortunately, that true assessment did not happen.”

State Sen. Dave Syverson (R-Rockford):  “Illinois citizens are tired of talk, they demand action. Governor Quinn’s address was tall on idea, but short on serious solutions.”

State Sen. Darin LaHood (R-Dunlap): “Illinois is the ‘Island of the Midwest’ when it comes to chronic dysfunction. Every state bordering Illinois has either addressed or begun steps to fix their budgets.”

State Rep. Tom Demmer (R-Dixon): “Our unemployment rate is higher than the national average at 8.7 percent, we owe over $9 billion in unpaid bills, and we have accrued a $95 billion unfunded pension liability.”

Notice that there is no a mention of the real cause of the state problems here by these representatives. No one who benefits from this massive fraud on the taxpayers ever speaks of the fraud throughout the entire Public Sector operations that is raping and robbing the taxpayers and killing this economy. For more than forty years both parties have created and aided in establishing the massively bloated Public Sector with its 50% over staffing and compensation plus their multi-million dollar pension packages. The truth is that no one in the Public Sector has yet hinted at the restructuring and reform that is necessary not only to save the state but the nation. The criminals of the Public Sector have benefited handsomely from this fraud and are not about to relinquish their power base. It is clear that only an outright bankruptcy of the states, municipalities and the nation will finally address the issue unfortunately at a tremendous price to the many innocent taxpayers other than a 2nd American Revolution. It is quite simple the American Taxpayers cannot afford the 23 million millionaires of the Public Sector just like we could not tolerate King George in the seventeen hundreds, we cannot afford the Kings and Queens of the Public Sector today.
