Springfield – On Sunday, Illinois House Republican Leader Tom Cross joined Governor Quinn, other leaders and dignitaries for the signing of Senate Bill 957 which would allow undocumented immigrants to apply for temporary driver’s licenses. The Secretary of State will have ten months to implement this new program and will start issuing the Temporary Visitor Driver’s License (TVDL) later this year.

“As Congress continues to debate immigration policy and reform, in Illinois we take a monumental step in recognizing the needs of many immigrants who already live here and contribute so much to our great state,” said Cross. “This new law offers Illinois residents the opportunity to go to work, take their children to school or to the doctor. It will also make the roads safer for all residents. We must continue working together to unite around common principles and ways to help keep families together.”

The criminals here continue to amaze at their outright violation of the law and clearly there is no difference between the parties. These people should be behind bars for the fraud, rape and robbery of the taxpayers. This is not only an insult to all the legal immigrants who have come to this country, but it is another demonstration that the criminals are running the institutions. No wonder the nation is not only financially bankrupt but ethically too. Before any new immigration laws are drafted or considered all these Politicians who have chosen not to uphold the law as they were sworn to in their oath of office should be put into jail starting with Comrade Obama who protected his illegal aunt.
