Cut Taxes for Taxpayers; End Waste, Fraud and Abuse in Government Spending

2. Adversarial Audit all state and local spending;

Yesterday, House Republican Leader Tom Cross and I kicked off our statewide “Save Illinois Taxpayers” Tour. Together, with Republican candidates for the legislature, we will put an end to the taxpayer abuse that plagues both state and local government.

Illinois is bleeding to death. Electing a Republican state legislature stops the bleeding.

  1. Freeze property taxes for three years followed by inflation plus population growth hard caps.
  2. Enact “Adversarial Audits” to hunt down and stop wasteful spending, end corrupt practices and eliminate mismanagement of taxpayer dollars.
  3. Repeal the 67% state income tax increase passed last year.

    Why any “population growth” hard caps? As more people move in, the tax base increases, and as such, the amount of revenue collected. If the cost of having new developments isn’t covered by impact fees…raise the impact fees to more accuately reflect the economic impact they have on the community. If the impact fees are “too high” that no one will move in…then there’s no need for increased taxes, is there?

    These tax cuts will never happen unless the massively bloated Public Sector operations are restructured and reformed with over 50% over staffing and compensation plus the millionaire Public Sector Pension fraud there is no way this corruption can be fixed if there are tax cuts or an end to the double digit property tax increases. The Public Sector Pension scam has put a $50 Trillion obligation on the taxpayers for the 23 million members federal, state and municipal. The fraud can be seen in any Public Sector Labor Agreement with 40% inflation of the final salary in the last years prior to retirement since the retirement payout is 85% or more of the final salary for life. The pension plan has no basis in investment and the member contributions do not match the payouts in fact an analysis of the highest contribution plan based on conservative returns shows that there should be a maximum payout of $44K annually much less than the payouts. It is clear that everyone in the Public Sector is a major beneficiary of this massive fraud and all the charades regarding reform or eliminating waste at the edges does little to address the real problem. The resolution will be the complete default. The reform to cap the pension payout for those over 35 years of age at $50K annually and lowing the benefits and COLAs and putting all others in Social Security, Medicare and a self-directed 401K with a 3% match maximum will not happen. The approval of all Public Sector Labor Agreements through referendum at the Ballot Box will also not happen. The fraud and corruption in the Public Sector has reached epic levels over the last 50 years and is destroying the nation and is about to send the entire nation not only Illinois into default.
