Claire is the founder of the DuPage Tea Party which is in its second year. They have approximately 450 members and meet on the in Darien once a month. They are active in educating the public and working for candidates whom we feel have “tea party” and thus “American” values. Thet believe in the three main tenets of the “Tea Party” movement which are Limited Government, Low Taxes, and the Free Market system.

Marilyn is co-founder of the Tri-Count-Teas Tea Party group which meets in Bartlett. She is active in her group which believes in the same priorities as does the DuPage Tea Party

Honest Elections Illinois

Marilyn was fortunate to be at the first summit of the True the Vote group over a year ago, established as a separate entity from the King Street Patriots of Houston Texas. They developed their group to work toward cleaning up elections in Houston which were known as very corrupt. She was able and willing to share the information she gathered from this event and also the most recent Summit. Marilyn and I both feel very strongly that our election this November must be protected and not compromised.

In many Tea Party groups, we recognized the extreme need for re-creating the election climate in Illinois. When deciding to set forth a path to bring Honest Elections to Illinois, Marilyn and I teamed up to create the group “Honest Elections Illinois” This, too, is a separate entity from the Tea Party groups from which we came.
We decided that the best approach was to work with the Houston group, so we wouldn’t be wasting time or energy in “re-inventing the wheel” and because they have a proven record of success. The True the Vote people are working with many states across the union who feel as we do: that an Honest Election is not an election at all, and that it is our American birthright to have our vote count.

We are in the process of making presentations to all social groups across the state and are seeking Patriots who will agree to be poll watchers( after being trained) and/or cleaning up the voter rolls from now, through the middle of September. We are actively seeking people county by county.

So far, we have people in Cook, DuPage, Will, Kane, Winnebago, McHenry, Lake Ogle, Whiteside, Lee, Rock Island, Bureau, Kankakee, Livingston, Woodford, Livingston, Mc Clean, Menard, Sangamon, Edgar, Crawford, and St Clair counties working with us.

We need more volunteers, and funding for poll watcher materials to make this work. We feel that it is our responsibility as Americans to make sure our vote is sacred and is valued as it should be and not tainted by corruption
