Jim Dodge - the Clear Choice for Comptroller

The candidates are Jim Dodge, Judy Baar Topinka, and Bill Kelly.

Dodge is the only qualified candidate for the Comptroller position which is faced with the accumulated deficits of years of Democrat incompetence. Jim is a veteran, has advanced degrees from the prestigious University of Chicago in Economics and Business Management, is an astute business professional - a V.P. at Nielsen in Schaumburg, and has been elected to six terms on his village board. He has the valuable skills and experience needed to cope with the realities of increasing debt and declining revenues.

Kelly lacks relevant experience or training, and Topinka represents the old school of politicians.

Unfortunately, Kelly has gone negative against Jim Dodge, his fellow Republican. His unfounded accusations should remove any doubt about Kelly's claim to being a reform candidate. His continued presence in this primary race serves only to split the grassroots vote and perhaps cause the election of Topinka.

Jim Dodge is clearly the best choice of a leader on the new Republican ticket who will restore credibility to the Republican brand. It's only by using the Republican place on the ballot that we can succeed in bringing reform to both our party and to state government.

This is a great opportunity for reform. It's time for an informed, intelligent choice. It's time for Jim Dodge!
